 Jutta Haeckel, will present a lecture on her work and discuss the significance of painting in Düsseldorf, Germany. She will be joined at the end of her lecture by Kevin Wixted and Stephanie McMahon to give a brief overview of the new Alfred/Düsseldorf MFA in Painting scheduled to begin in fall 2017!

Jutta Haeckel lives and works in Düsseldorf, Germany. She served as the International Randal Chair in Painting at Alfred University in 2012. Born in Hanover, Germany, she studied at Hochschule fur Kunste in Bremen, Germany and Goldsmiths College in London. She has exhibited widely in Germany, including recent exhibitions at the Kunsthalle in Recklinghausen and at Schloss Detmold. Haeckel is represented by Hosfelt Gallery in San Francisco. http://www.hosfeltgallery.com
